Version 5.0. Release date 24 February 2021

New features and enhancements:

Implemented the "Pay as you go" billing of the VMware vCloud Director service

To support charging the VMware vCloud Director customers for the actual amount of consumed resources, the "Pay as you go (internal)" billing type has been improved. Plan resources now have unit fees per hour. Ordering a subscription via the Operator Control Panel, a manager specifies quotas for resources available for consumption by a customer. The platform hourly retrieves from the service side information about resource consumption, stores and converts the data to the daily statistics using the existing resource consumption data storage. The converted data is displayed in the "Analytics" section of the Customer Control Panel and used for charging a customer. (CR-1233)

Implemented notifications for new managers

When a new manager is created, the platform sends a message to the manager's email with the instructions and link for creating the password.

The reset password page for managers now supports automatic redirecting to the specified URL when the password is successfully changed. (CR-1208)

Implemented activation of postpaid subscriptions with a payment paid from the account balance

Subscriptions within the "Postpay" model blocked due to the payment expiration are automatically activated when the payment is paid from the account balance, similar to using other payment methods. (CR-1185, SAP-10896)

Improved user experience in the platform

In the Operator Control Panel, by default, for new resources added to a new or existing plan, the "Limit" is set to 1500, while the "Recurring Fee/Month" is not set and should be specified manually. Previously, these fields were set to 0 by default. (CR-1224)

In the Customer Control Panel, in the "Analytics" section, the appearance of the resource consumption data has been improved. (CR-1196)

Validation for the uniqueness of API tokens for managers and users of customers has been added. (AB-26825)

Extended API

For the method used to get the list of reseller's subscriptions, sorting by the dates of creation, last update, activation, and expiration has been added. (CR-1240)

In the response models of the methods for working with charges, information about the additional attributes of a subscription based on the MicrosoftCspProducts plugin has been added. (CR-1320, AB-27143)

A new internal API v3 method has been implemented for getting information about reseller's costs per customer over the specified period with the monthly granularity. (CR-1049)
