Terms and definitions

The following terms are used in the Reseller Store User Guide:

Reseller StorePart of the ActivePlatform ecosystem for small- and medium-sized resellers to automate sales of cloud services without billing of end-customers
Partner, resellerAn organization that resales services of a cloud service provider to a customer
Customer, clientCounterparty used to purchase a service
ProductAn entity used by a partner to manage sales of cloud services. Products are grouped into categories and include sets of plans
Plan, tariff planPricing conditions offered by a service provider to customers for using a service. A plan has periods and, usually, resources
Plan periodA period of using a service within a plan. The plan period can have a limited or unlimited (endless) duration. A trial period is a particular type of periods that allows free but limited using a service
ResourceAn entity, consumption of which a service provider offers to a customer within a plan. Resources can be software and hardware (physical and virtual)
SubscriptionAn agreement between a service provider and a customer to give the customer access to resources of the provider based on recurring payments. A subscription is applied to one of the plan periods and includes the purchased amount of resources
Billing type
