Managing permissions of a Distribution group is similar to managing permissions of a user of the Microsoft Exchange service (see Managing permissions of a user of the Microsoft Exchange service) with only one exception: a Distribution group cannot have full access to the mailbox (the Mailbox permissions switch is not available).
