Microsoft NCE. Switching the Subscription Plan

For Microsoft NCE, switching a Plan is used in the following cases:

  • Switching from a trial to a paid Subscription — until the trial period ends (see Microsoft NCE. Switching to a paid Plan).
  • Switching a paid Subscription within a Product or between Microsoft NCE Products — on the Subscription expiration date. Switching the Plan is performed together with renewing a Subscription. For paid Subscriptions, a delayed Switch plan order is used with Provisioning date = the Subscription expiration day.

For details about switching the Subscription Plan, see Switch plan in the Customer Control Panel guide.

For Microsoft NCE, switching the Subscription Plan has the following specifics:

  • The Resource quantity in a Switch plan order is prefilled with the current value from a Subscription.
  • After a Switch plan order gets the Waiting for provisioning status, the Auto-renew option for a Subscription in the platform is switched Off.

In case of cancelling a Switch plan order in the Waiting for provisioning status, the Auto-renew option for a Subscription in the platform remains switched Off. It means that a Subscription will not be renewed and, on the expiration date, will be deleted immediately,

  • In the Customer Control Panel, on a Subscription page, a message is displayed with the date when a Switch plan order will be provisioned — the Subscription expiration date.
  • Switching is performed if only a subscription on the Microsoft side has the Active status.
  • After switching a Plan, cancelling a subscription within a limited period is available similar to ordering a new Subscription (see Microsoft NCE. "Configuration" section).
  • After switching to a P1Y Annual or P1M Monthly Plan, all Charges are closed with a delay after completing the Order similar to ordering a new Subscription (see Microsoft NCE. "Configuration" section).
