Microsoft Azure Plan. Analytics
For the general description of the Analytics section, see Analytics in the Customer Control Panel guide.
All data in the Analytics section is for informational purposes only and cannot be used as the basis for payments. Information about consumed resources is displayed in the language set by the reseller and may differ from the language of the Customer Control Panel.
Use the Analytics section to analyze the consumption of a Microsoft Azure Plan subscription by resource categories and resources and the consumption of the reserved (Azure RI) and third-party resources ordered directly in Azure Marketplace. Information about the consumption of a Microsoft Azure Plan subscription includes two tabs:
- Actual — the final detailed consumption data by resource categories and resources:
- Information about consumed resources is available in the daily and monthly granularity.
- Negative values in the charts and the table correspond to refunds on the Microsoft side.
- The following filters are available:
- Resource category — the category of a resource on the Microsoft side.
- Tags of resources — the tags of a resource on the Microsoft side.
- Azure RI — the attribute of a resource reserved within the Microsoft Azure RI service.
- Resource group — the names of the Microsoft Azure resource groups.
- Virtual Machines — the names of the Microsoft Azure virtual machines.
A consumption report is available for download.
- Upcoming expenses — temporary non-detailed consumption data (draft charges):
Information about consumed resources is available in the daily cost structure bar chart only. All bars are displayed in one color because there is no data per resource categories and resources. At the beginning of the next billing period, Microsoft provides detailed consumption data. The draft charges are deleted, and the final charges are generated. The final detailed consumption data is displayed on the Actual tab.
Your reseller may activate automatic monitoring of consumption anomalies for all pay-as-you-go subscriptions. In this case, the platform compares the day-to-day difference in consumption for a subscription and notifies the Owner of an account about a significant consumption spike. In addition to the notifications, you can view information about the consumption spikes the platform detected: in the Daily cost structure chart and the Detected anomalies table in the Analytics section and on the Monitoring tab of a subscription details page.
- Only the period filter is available:
- Current and previous — displaying the data for the current and previous billing periods (by default).
- Current — displaying the data for the current billing period only. Selected by default and other options are not available if there is no data for the previous period.
- Previous — displaying the data for the previous billing period only.
