Notifications are used to inform users of accounts and managers of resellers about events that occurred in the platform. The following types of notifications are used:
-
Email notifications.
-
SMS notifications.
-
Push notifications in the Customer Control Panel (not supported in the current version of the Customer Control Panel).
When an event occurs:
-
A triggered event handler generates a notification using the dedicated notification template.
-
The platform checks errors in the notification content.
-
If there are no errors, the notification is sent to the specified recipients.
The history of checking and sending notifications is stored in the notifications log (see Notifications log).
To configure a notification, complete the following steps:
-
Create a notification category. A notification category is used for grouping notifications (see Managing notification categories).
-
Create a notification template. A notification template is used for generating the text of a notification (see Managing notification templates).
-
If it is necessary to send a message via SMS, create an SMS gate (see Managing SMS gates).
-
Create an event handler and configure its rule. The rule defines the conditions when triggering an event handler and sending a message to recipients (see Managing event handlers).
