Notification Configuration

Notification is a message that is used to notify customers and employees if the certain Event has occurred in the ActivePlatform. There are the following types of the Notifications:

• notifications in the Customer Control Panel;
• email notifications;
• SMS notifications.

When the certain Event occurs the Event Handler creates a specific Notification (using the prepared Notification Template) and pass the message to the certain recipients.

Perform the following operation to configure a Notification:

1. Create a Notification Category, which is used for grouping Notifications by some criteria (see Managing Notification Categories).
2. Create a Notification Template, on which base the Notification will be generated (see Managing Notification Templates).
3. Create an SMS Gate that will be used for sending SMS messages (see Managing SMS Gates).
4. Create and configure an Event Handler, which will be triggered if the specific Event occurs and send messages to recipients (see Managing Event Handlers).
