Splitting of Charges when an amount of Subscription Resources is reduced

This article covers Charges splitting for the Prepay model only.

For particular aspects of Charges splitting for the Postpay model, see Particular aspects of Charges within the Postpay charging model.

When the Resource amount is reduced, for the most of billing types, Charges are splitting.

Exceptions — Pay as you go (see Charges for Pay-as-you-go billing type), Pay in full (see Charges for Pay in full billing type), License-based (Monthly) (see License-based (Monthly). Charges generation), and Non-refund (see Non-refund. Charges generation) billing types.

For particular aspects of Charges splitting for different billing types, see CSP monthly. Charges generation, ESET solutions for ISP (Monthly). Charges generation.

When the amount of a Resource is reduced, the platform performs the following actions:

  1. Deleting of a Charge for the current Billing period of the Resource usage.
  2. Creation and closing of a Charge for the actual period of the Resource usage in the current Billing period.
  3. Creation of a Charge for the unused period of Resource usage in the current Billing period.
  4. Refund of a Charge for the unused period of Resource usage in the current Billing period.
  5. Creation of a Charge with the Blocked status for the future period of the Resource reduced amount usage in the current Billing period.

When the Resource amount is reduced to zero, all Charges for unused periods are deleted.

  6. The Charges for future Billing periods of the Resource reduced amount usage change their amounts.
