Managing a Product
A Product is an entity used by a Reseller to manage sales of Vendor's services and applications. In ActivePlatform, a Product contains the data required to sell the Product via the Customer Store (see Managing Storefront):
- Vendor information.
- Product type.
- Product marketing information.
- Product documentation.
- Support information.
In ActivePlatform, a Product is directly connected to a Plan (see Managing Plans), and indirectly — via the Plan — to an Application (see Application Templates (Connectors)) and to a Service term (see Managing Service Terms). For an Account ordered a Subscription within a Product, the Reseller can assign Responsible Managers (Product managers).
