New features and enhancements:

Extended integration with Microsoft services

  • The support of Microsoft Special Offers as a stand-alone service has been added. For that, a separate connector is used with manual price creation. Migration of such subscriptions has also become available. (CR-2550)
  • For the Microsoft Software Subscription service, the period for retrying API requests to Microsoft Partner Center has been increased to reduce the number of errors due to its unavailability. (CR-2431)
  • The algorithm for determining available options for subscription expiration date alignment has been improved for cases when the selected order provisioning date does not match the current date. (CR-2470)

Implemented automatic generation of daily consumption reports for PAYG subscriptions for the previous month

Previously, the Customer Control Panel's "Reports" section was updated to include the ability to generate daily consumption reports for PAYG subscriptions for any selected month "on the fly." Now, in addition to this, the platform allows users to set up to 5 daily consumption reports for the previous month that will be generated automatically after the 13th of each month. The customer can also receive a notification for every report when it is ready. The notification includes a link to download the report in the chosen format: XLSX or CSV. Each report can include one, several, or all of the account's PAYG subscriptions within the product. (CR-2425)

Implemented email notification template with a subscription consumption report per resource for the previous period

The email template is similar to the one implemented earlier but supports displaying subscription consumption information by resources rather than their categories. The new template can be used for the VMware vCloud Director service, which resources, unlike Microsoft Azure Plan, do not have categories. Information about the consumption of a subscription includes the following parameters:

  • Costs for the last completed billing period.
  • Costs for the second-to-last billing period.
  • Cost growth rate percentage for two last billing periods.
  • Line chart of the cost structure for the last completed billing period per resource.
  • Bar chart of the weekly cost dynamics for the last completed billing period per resource.

The report also includes a link to the "Cost overview" section in the Customer Control Panel with predefined filters. (CR-1475)

Added renewal control options for expired subscription

Resellers can now specify a period for renewing expired subscriptions. If the vendor doesn't support renewals after expiration, this option can be fully disabled. Renewal availability before the expiration date is managed separately with existing settings.

If a subscription has expired and renewal isn't available, the Customer Control Panel will display a message for it, prompting the user to purchase a new subscription to continue using the service. (CR-2351, SAP-20234)

Added the ability to specify Purchase Order (PO) information for any orders

Previously, it was only possible to specify the Purchase Order (PO) number and file from the customer's purchasing system for sales orders. Now, in the Customer Control Panel, this can be done for any order, regardless of its type. The "Add Purchase Order information" group of fields is displayed at the order confirmation step and in the order card, regardless of its status. In the Operator Control Panel, managers can still view this information on the order details page and, if necessary, send it to the vendor for purchase verification. (CR-2590)

Implemented the next stage of the initiative "Access level builder in the Operator Control Panel"

The support for access levels has been added to the following sections of the Operator Control Panel:

  • Configuration.
  • External services.
  • Logs. (CR-2309, CR-2310)

Improved user experience in the platform

In the Customer Control Panel:

  • The cost dynamics widgets on the main page and in the "Cost overview" section have been improved:
    • The widget titles have been unified. (CR-2630)
    • The color indication of the cost growth rate percentage has been changed. (CR-2555, SAP-22071)
    • The tooltip text about previous month data has been improved. (CR-2640)
  • The logic of determining availability of actions on prepaid subscriptions has been improved for cases when an account has the "Credit hold" status. (CR-1346)

In the Operator Control Panel:

  • The logic of renewal parameters has been improved for subscriptions with individual prices. (CR-2517)
  • To draw the manager's attention to the selection of the correct connector for migrating Microsoft NCE & Software subscriptions, the default connector is no longer set, and for cases where no subscriptions are found for migration, the message texts are extended with the name of the selected connector. (CR-2695, SAP-22765)
  • When migrating Microsoft NCE & Software subscriptions with charge generation, a warning has been added that charges for previous billing periods will be included in the current period invoice. (CR-2644, SAP-22447)
  • The display of address validation and tenant creation errors has been improved when ordering Microsoft subscriptions. (CR-2574)

General improvements:

  • The logic of charge generation and processing manual operations "Allow client to work on post-payment" has been improved for cases when a manual operation is approved after the order provisioning date, as well as when deleting a subscription. (CR-2628)
  • Automatic cancellation of a change order in the "Waiting for payment" status and its linked payment has been implemented for cases of manual subscription stop. (CR-1346)
  • The "Before account's postpaid subscriptions expiration" event handler has been improved to ignore subscriptions with the "Delivered" status. Previously, such subscriptions became one-time and non-renewable. (CR-2659)
  • The mechanism for obtaining customer consent to the privacy policy has been extended with the document "Privacy notice". The reseller can specify a link to the document for customers, which will be displayed together with the link to the privacy policy upon registration or first sing-in to the Customer Control Panel. (CR-2660, SAP-22650)
  • Various technical improvements have been implemented. (CR-2591, AB-42174, AB-42095, AB-42194, AB-41889)

Extended API

New methods of the internal API have been implemented, and several existing ones have been improved. (CR-1346, CR-2425, CR-2590)

API v3 methods have been improved to support the new role-based access model. (CR-2309)

For the API v3 method to get a list of plans, the support of filtering by the date of their modification has been added. (CR-2683, SAP-22688)
