Stopping and Activating a Google Cloud Platform Subscription

Manual stopping and activating a Subscription to the Google Cloud Platform service are available in the Customer Control Panel. For the general description of the procedures, see Stop subscription. Managing a Subscription on the ActivePlatform side means managing the corresponding customer billing account on the Google side.

Stopping a Subscription

When a Subscription to the Google Cloud Platform service is stopped on the ActivePlatform side, the following actions are performed on the Google side:

  1. All projects are detached from the customer billing account.
  2. Resource consumption is stopped.
  3. All administrators get the new role — Billing Account Viewer (read-only access to billing information).

Activating a Subscription

When a Subscription to the Google Cloud Platform service is activated on the ActivePlatform side, the following actions are performed on the Google side:

  1. For the customer billing account, an administrator is added. The email specified during the Subscription ordering is used.
  2.  The administrator receives a message with instructions on how to attach projects to the customer billing account manually. The projects detached during the Subscription stopping will not be attached automatically.
