The ADSync Configuration section is used for managing the parameters of synchronization between Microsoft Active Directory and ActivePlatform.

To view the ADSync Configuration section:

  1. Sign in to the Customer Control Panel.
  2. Hover the mouse pointer over the ADSync Entry Point. The  button is displayed in the lower right corner of the Entry Point.
  3. Click . The Entry Point menu is displayed.
  4. On the Entry Point menu, click Configuration. The AD Sync Configuration page is displayed.

The AD Sync Configuration page includes the following groups of elements:

  • Name settings:
    • Email template — name template used for creating new email boxes.
    • Use domain from AD — switch to activate using the domain from Active Directory. When the switch is turned on, the name and domain of a new email box will be the same as in Active Directory. When the switch is turned off, the name of a new email box will be generated based on the Email template attribute while the Domain ID attribute will be used for the domain.

For using the Use domain from AD option, the Active Directory domain should be attached to the Microsoft Exchange service.

  • Applications — list of Applications attached to the Domain selected in the Domain ID list:
    • Switch to activate synchronization between Active Directory and the Application. When the switch is turned on, the following elements for managing synchronization are displayed for an Application:
      • Information about available space, total space, and the number of available Microsoft Exchange licenses.
      • Quota, GB — size of the disk quota per email box.

        • Outlook Web Access (OWA)
        • IMAP4
        • POP3

The license type for a new user depends on the selected options.

          • None of the options are selected.

          • Any of the OWAIMAPPOP3 options are selected and none of the ActiveSync and Outlook options are selected.
          • Any of the ActiveSync and Outlook options are selected and there are no available Standard licenses. The ActiveSync and Outlook options will not be available for a user.
