In addition to the generally available Microsoft price list (GA), the platform also takes into account the End of Sale (EOS) price list. This makes it possible to renew subscriptions for plans that have already been withdrawn from sale.
Microsoft EOS price list is a separate price list in Partner Center that lists offers and SKUs that have been moved to the End of Sale (EOS) state: they can no longer be purchased as new, but existing subscriptions can still be renewed.
Microsoft GA price list is a Microsoft price list in the General Availability (GA) status where offers are available both for purchase and for renewal and do not belong to offers that have been withdrawn from the End of Sale (EOS).
When the Microsoft Plan Updater process is started, a fresh price list is downloaded from Microsoft Partner Center. After filtering by end‑of‑sale dates, the required items from the EOS price list are added to the main Microsoft GA-price list.
Based on the combined selection, new plans are created, and the cost, ERP prices, names, as well as purchase and renewal availability of plans are updated.
Using the Microsoft EOS price list to manage renewal availability
For plans from the EOS price list, the system automatically disables purchase and enables renewal in accordance with the current platform logic.
For previously deactivated plans, if up‑to‑date data is available in the EOS price list, it may be possible to restore them to a renewed state. All changes are reflected in the plan update report where for EOS plans, the start and end of sale dates (EndOfSaleStartDate and EndOfSaleEndDate) are additionally displayed.
If the EOS price list was not retrieved, the plan update process is stopped and an error is recorded in the logs.
