Splitting of charges when a subscription is stopped

This article covers the Prepay model only. For the Postpay model, see Particular aspects of charges within the Postpay charging model.

Splitting of charges depends on the billing type. For particular aspects of charges splitting for different billing types, see Monthly Prolongation. Charges generation, Monthly Long-term. Charges generation, Monthly via balance (current month). Charges generation.

For the Monthly via balance (full period) billing type, the standard splitting is used:

  1. The charge for the current billing period is deleted.
  2. A new charge for the actual period of the subscription usage in the current billing period is generated with the following attributes:
    1. Status: Closed.
    2. Created at: the date of the subscription stopping.
    3. Close date: the date of the subscription stopping.
    4. Amount: proportional to the actual subscription usage period in the current billing period, taking into account the actual number of days in a month (see Default Charges attributes).
    5. Discount: proportional to the charge amount.
    6. Period: from the start of the current billing period to the date of the subscription stopping.
The charge for the actual subscription usage period in the current billing period is closed. The account balance is decreased by the charge amount.
  3. A new charge for the remaining part of the current billing period is generated with the following attributes:
    1. Status: Opened.
    2. Created at: the date of the subscription stopping.
    3. Close date: the nearest billing day or the subscription expiration date.
    4. Amount: proportional to the remaining part of the current billing period taking into account the actual number of days in a month (see Default Charges attributes).
    5. Discount: proportional to the charge amount.
    6. Period: from the date of the subscription stopping to the nearest billing day or to the subscription expiration date.
  4. The charges for the future billing periods don't change.
  5. On the nearest billing day or on the subscription expiration date, if the subscription was not activated, the charge for the remaining part of the billing period, in which the subscription was stopped, is deleted. The remaining charges don't change.
  6. In each subsequent billing day, if the subscription was not activated, the charge for the previous billing period is deleted. The remaining charges don't change.
