Splitting of charges when the resource quantity is reduced

This article covers the Prepay model only. For the Postpay model, see Particular aspects of charges within the Postpay charging model.

When the resource quantity is reduced, for the most of the billing types, charges are splitting.

Exceptions — Pay as you go (see Charges for Pay-as-you-go billing type), Monthly Pay in full (free start) (see Charges for Pay in full billing type), Monthly Pay in full (see Monthly Pay in full. Charges generation), and Monthly via balance (non-refund) (see Monthly via balance (non-refund). Charges generation) billing types.

For particular aspects of charges splitting for different billing types, see Monthly Prolongation. Charges generation, Monthly via balance (current month). Charges generation.

When the amount of a resource is reduced, the platform performs the following actions:

  1. Delete a charge for the current billing period of the resource usage.
  2. Create and close a charge for the actual period of the resource usage in the current billing period.
  3. Create a charge for the unused period of the resource usage in the current billing period.
  4. Refund a charge for the unused period of the resource usage in the current billing period.
  5. Create a charge in the Blocked status for the future period of the resource reduced quantity usage in the current billing period.

When the resource quantity is reduced to zero, all charges for unused periods are deleted.

  6. Change the amount of the charges for future billing periods of the resource reduced quantity usage.
