Managing Customer Store language

By default, the Storefront page elements are displayed in English. Depending on the country where services are sold, it may be necessary to display the Storefront page elements in other languages. Customer Store supports several languages for Storefront with the following limitations:

  • The names of the standard elements are defined in UI templates in English by default (see Managing information and auto-generated pages UI templates and the following placeholders: blocktrans and trans). These names have translations in all supported languages and are displayed in the language selected in the Customer Store settings.
  • The names of custom elements are defined in UI templates (see Managing information and auto-generated pages UI templates) and always displayed as is, and no translations are available.
  • The texts of service messages do not use UI templates, but have translations in all supported languages and are displayed in the language selected in the Customer Store settings.
  • Customer Store supports the following languages only:
    • English.
    • Russian.
    • Spanish.
    • Portuguese.
  • Unlike the Operator Control Panel and Customer Control Panel, adding languages and translations using the localise.biz service (see UI localization) is not supported.

To change the language of the standard Storefront page elements and service messages:

  1. Go to Storefront (see Navigation). The General tab of the Customer Store Control Panel is displayed.

  2. In the General information group, in the Language for store list, select the required language:
    • English (default).
    • Русский.
    • Español.
    • Português.
  3. Click Save. The standard Storefront page elements and service messages will be displayed in the selected language.
