Manage vCloud Director subscription

To manage your vCloud Director subscription, use the Managing tab of the subscription page in the Customer Control Panel (see Subscription details). Some operations are also available from the subscription card in the list of subscriptions of your account (see List of subscriptions).

Your reseller may activate automatic monitoring of consumption anomalies for all pay-as-you-go subscriptions. In this case, the platform compares the day-to-day difference in consumption for a subscription and notifies the Owner of an account about a significant consumption spike. In addition to the notifications, you can view information about the consumption spikes the platform detected: in the Daily cost structure chart and the Detected anomalies table in the Analytics section and on the Monitoring tab of a subscription details page.

Prolong subscription

Prolongation is used only for vCloud Director subscriptions with fixed monthly payments. You can change the resource quantity in a prolong order, but the validation of the new quantity is performed (see Change resources).

Renew subscription

For the general description of the procedure, see Renew subscription in the Customer Control Panel guide.

Renewal is used only for yearly vCloud Director subscriptions.
You can change the resource quantity in a renewal order, but the validation of the new quantity is performed (see Change resources).
If a vCloud Director subscription is not renewed timely, it is permanently deleted after a certain period. The subscription deletion causes complete data deletion (data centers, catalogs, organization) in the vCloud Director Control Panel and cannot be undone.

Switch plan

Switching the plan is performed manually and used only for switching from a trial to a paid subscription.

Change resources

For the general description of the procedure, see Change resources in the Customer Control Panel guide.

For a trial subscription, the ability to change the resource quantity depends on the reseller.
For pay-as-you-go vCloud Director subscriptions, changing the resource quantity is not available.
For a vCloud Director subscription with fixed payments, when you change the resource quantity, the new quantity must be greater than or equal to the quantity of a resource in use on the vCloud side. To perform validation, the platform gets by API information about the quantity of resources in use on the vCloud side and, if necessary, converts the values in the units applied to the resources in the platform. If the new quantity appears less, the validation message is displayed with information about the quantity of the resource in use.

Stop and activate subscription

Delete subscription

Deleting is not available for vCloud Director subscriptions.
