Managing Account's permission to use the Postpay model

To reduce the possible risk of selling services within the Postpay model when a customer pays after factual using a service, a Reseller can apply to the Accounts manual approval by a Manager of permission to use the Postpay model. By default, no approval is required, and an Account does not need to have permission to order postpaid Subscriptions.

If the manual mode of getting permission to order Subscriptions withing the Postpay model is selected in the system settings (see the Postpay settings group, the Allow an account to order a postpaid subscription parameter in General system settings):

  • For an Account attempted to order the first postpaid Subscription to a commercial (non-trial) period, the order will be created and provisioned only when the Manager approves manually the Account's permission to use the Postpay model.
  • Once getting manual approve from the Manager, an Account has permission to order any postpaid Subscriptions to a commercial period without being verified one more time.
  • An Account, under review by the Manager or refused by the Manager, cannot order postpaid Subscriptions to a commercial period, including the first Subscription.

The current status of Account's permission to use the Postpay model is displayed in the list of Accounts (Viewing the List of Accounts) and on the Account's page (see Viewing and updating an Account's details) when the Allow an account to order a postpaid subscription parameter is set to Manually. When the settings are changed, the current statuses of the existing Accounts are remained, even if not displayed.

To manage Account's permission to use the Postpay model, the Allow an account has postpaid subscriptions Manual Operation (see Manual Operations) is used as follows:

  • To allow an Account to order postpaid Subscriptions to a commercial period, approve the Allow an account has postpaid subscriptions Manual Operation (see Managing Manual Operations).
  • To deny an Account to order postpaid Subscriptions to a commercial period, decline the Allow an account has postpaid subscriptions Manual Operation. In this case, in the Customer Control Panel, for an Account, information about the prohibition is not displayed. Instead of that, the message that the Account is still under review is displayed.
  • When the Allow an account to order a postpaid subscription parameter is switched between manual and automatic approve, the existing Subscriptions continue working as described in Ordering a postpaid Subscription to a commercial period.
  • Account's permission to use the Postpay model is applied both to the Operator Control Panel and Customer Control Panel.

After approving or declining the Allow an account has postpaid subscriptions Manual Operation, it is not possible to change the status of Account's permission to use the Postpay model. Please contact the support team for assistance.
