Configuring access to the Customer Control Panel with Google (Google Cloud Identity)
The current version of the Customer Control Panel does not support signing in with Google.
Account users can sign in to the Customer Control Panel using the following options:
- Signing in to the Customer Control Panel with User's credentials — always available.
Signing in to the Customer Control Panel with Google — by default is not available. The option must be enabled on the root reseller level. After that, it becomes available for users who already have their ActivePlatform credentials with the same email as their Google accounts.
If a reseller does not have an account user with the specified email, the signing-in process fails even if authentication in Google is completed successfully.
To configure access to the Customer Control Panel with Google:
- Register the ActivePlatform application in Google Console (see Sign up for Cloud Identity). As a part of the registration, the following steps must be completed:
- The ActivePlatform application ID (Client ID) is issued.
- The ActivePlatform application key (Client secret) is issued.
- The reseller's domain is specified as one of the Redirect URIs.
- On the root reseller level of the installation, specify all the Google SSO settings — see Global settings.
- For account users of a reseller, activate signing in to the Customer Control Panel with a Google account — see User settings.
