Managing customers

ActivePlatform has the following entities for customers to manage purchasing and using services:

  • An account (see Managing accounts) — a counterparty (a legal or natural person) used to manage orders, subscriptions, and financial operations. A customer can have several accounts in the platform.
  • A user (Managing users) — a person who uses the Customer Control Panel to access services and perform operations on behalf of an account.

Every account can have several users, but always has at least one user with the Owner access level (see Creating an account). The Owner has all financial and administrative control under the account. The account can have only one user with the Owner access level.

A user can be attached to several accounts. A user cannot access a service until attached to an appropriate account.
