Stop subscription
In this article:
Stopped subscriptions are deleted automatically after an applied period (see Delete subscription).
Automatic stopping of a subscription
The platform automatically stops your subscriptions in the following cases:
- A prolong order is not completed on the Paid to date of a subscription, considering the grace period (see Prolong subscription).
- A renewal order is not completed after the subscription expiration date, considering the grace period (see Renew subscription).
- Your account is moved to the credit hold (see Blocked account).
- A manager moved your account to the administrative hold (see Blocked account).
- For postpaid subscriptions — one of the blocking conditions was met (see Specifics of postpaid subscriptions).
- The subscription status in the platform is synchronized with the vendor site — for some services only. In this case, the platform stops a subscription that is already stopped on the vendor side.
For stopping some subscriptions, manual approval by a manager may be required. In this case, a subscription gets the Waiting for manual approve status and will be stopped only after approval.
Manual stopping of a subscription
You can stop a subscription manually and then activate it if it is necessary to temporarily stop using it. You can also stop a subscription to end using it before the expiration date.
Manual stopping and activating of a subscription are only available for some plans and services.
The refund policy and the activation fee depend on the terms of the plan.
To stop a subscription:
- In the navigation menu, select Subscriptions. The list of subscriptions of the current account is displayed (see List of subscriptions).
- Find the required subscription in the list.
- In the header, click and select Stop in the menu. The confirmation pop-up window appears.
Read the stop and refund policy.
If a subscription is linked to a prolong order, or renewal order, or switch plan order in the Waiting for payment or Waiting for provisioning status, this order and linked payment (if it exists) are automatically cancelled with stopping the subscription. This extra action guarantees that a stopped subscription cannot be accidentally activated if an order becomes completed (see Activate subscription).
If a subscription is linked to a change order in the Waiting for payment status, this order and linked payment are also automatically cancelled with stopping the subscription.
- Click Confirm. The subscription stopping process begins. The subscription gets the Stopping status. If the operation is successful, the subscription gets the Stopped status.
