Reseller's settings inheritance
Inheritance of the upstream reseller settings depends on the Default settings option (see Creating a new reseller) as follows:
- If Default settings = Copy Operator's settings, the following settings for a reseller are inherited from the upstream reseller:
- Service terms (see Managing service terms).
- Account types (see Account types)
- Account classes (see Account classes). However, the Default account class option is not inherited, and none of the delegated account classes are assigned by default. You can change it on the account class details page (see Viewing and updating account class details).
- Payment methods (see Configuring payment methods).
- Attributes (see Managing attributes)
- Attribute categories (see Managing categories of attributes).
- Notification categories (see Managing notification categories).
- Event handlers (see Managing event handlers).
- Notification templates (see Managing notification templates).
- UI templates (see Configuring UI templates).
- Language settings (see Managing language settings).
- Regardless of the Default settings option, the following settings for a reseller are inherited from the upstream reseller:
Service terms (see Managing service terms) and account types (see Account types) and the relations between them. The inherited service terms and account types are available in the read-only mode, and it is only possible to do the following:
- Add new account types for delegated service terms.
- Change the default payment method for the delegated account types.
The service terms and account types of a downstream reseller are changed automatically upon changes in the service terms and account types of the upstream reseller.
- Notification categories, event handlers, notification templates, and UI templates. All changes of notification categories, event handlers, notification templates, and UI templates are delegated to the downstream resellers (see Delegating UI templates, notification templates, event handlers, and notification categories).
