Managing notification categories
A notification category is used for grouping notifications by some criteria, for example, "Internal ", "Renewal and Expiration Notices".
After a new notification category is created by the upstream reseller, it is also created for all downstream resellers. Changing or deleting a notification category may cause changing or deleting the corresponding delegated notification category for all downstream resellers (see Delegating UI templates, notification templates, event handlers, and notification categories and Deleting a notification category).
After publication, each notification category is displayed for configuring in the Customer Control Panel (see Notification settings).
If notification templates of the SMS type are not available for a notification category, the SMS switch saves its position and becomes unavailable for changing in the Customer Control Panel (see Notification settings).
When an SMS notification template is added to such notification category, the SMS switch retains its value and becomes available for changing.
