Subscription management

On the Subscription management tab, you can perform operations with a subscription. The availability of the operations depends on the subscription status, current date, and other conditions:

  • Switch plan on renewal — change the subscription plan on its expiration date (delayed switch).

  • Change the amount of resources — increase or decrease the quantity of the subscription resources.

For the detailed description, see Subscription management.

On the Subscription management tab, you can also view the current quantity of the subscription resources.

The list of resources available for ordering within a subscription is displayed as a table with the following columns:

  • Resource name.
  • Amount — the ordered quantity of a resource and a hint with information about the available range.
  • Unit price — the resource unit price that may include:
    • A recurring payment per month or subscription period.
    • A one-time payment for setup.

The charging period depends on the billing type:

      Billing type

      Charging period

      Long-term, Reservation, and Non-Recurring

      Plan period

      PAYG external and PAYG internal

      Not applicable
      OtherMonth

All prices are displayed in the plan currency. A currency used by the partner to bill a subscription may differ (see Company profile and managers). If the currencies do not match, the exchange rate set in ActivePlatform is used for recalculation.

If prices that were effective on the purchase date are fixed for a customer for the full period of a subscription, the lock icon is displayed next to the Unit price column name.

  • Total — the cost of the ordered quantity of a resource.
  • Subscription cost — the total cost of all ordered resources per the charging period without any possible discount.

The primary resource is displayed separately in the top row. Other resources are grouped as Additional resources and sorted by priority. Resources with the same priority are sorted by name (digits, from A to Z, from А to Я). If a plan does not have the primary resource, all resources are displayed together.

The quantity of a resource displayed in the first row can also be changed from the list of subscriptions (see Subscriptions list).

If the partner has a discount that can be applied to the subscription, the discount percentage is displayed next to the subscription cost.

Information about a discount does not guarantee that the discount will be applied. The actual quantity of the discount is calculated after closing a billing period. By that moment, the partner may have another discount, or the displayed discount may expire.

Change history

On the Change history tab, you can view the list of operations for the subscription:

  • Sales order — purchasing the subscription.
  • Switch order — changing the subscription plan.
  • Change order — increasing or decreasing the quantity of the subscription resources.
  • Renewal order — renewing the subscription for the next period.
  • Prolong order — prolonging the subscription for the next month.

For the detailed description, see Change history.

Subscription activation

On the Subscription activation tab, you can view the link to the vendor portal and the step-by-step instruction on how to activate the subscription, if applicable.

Follow the instruction thoroughly. If a subscription has a temporary password, use the password for the first logging in and set up your password. Keep your password in a safe place. For the majority of services, Reseller Store does not store passwords.

Reservation

For Microsoft Azure subscriptions, the Reservation tab is displayed. On this tab, you can view information about the Microsoft Azure RI service.

Notes

On the Notes tab, you can manage notes added to a subscription.

Every manager of a partner registered in Reseller Store can view subscription notes. Unlike the others, managers with the Product owner role cannot add and delete subscription notes. The Notes tab also includes notes added to a subscription via ActivePlatform and system notes (for example, for migrated subscriptions).

The list of notes includes the following columns:

  • Created at — the date and time when a note was added.
  • Note — the text of a note and a link with the name of the attached file (optionally).
  • User — the name of a manager who added a note.
  • A сolumn with the Delete button. You can delete notes added by any manager.

To add a note to a subscription:

  1. Click Add note. A group of elements for a new note is displayed.
  2. In the Description field, enter up to 5000 characters of your note.
  3. Optionally, click and attach a file to your note (up to 2 MB).
  4. Click Create.
