Managing account statuses

An account can have one of the following statuses:

The statuses are compared in the following table.


Account status

Active

Credit hold

Administrative hold

Deleted

User access rights

Users can access the Customer Control Panel of an account.

Users can access the Customer Control Panel of an account.

Users cannot access the Customer Control Panel of an account:

  • A user attached only to this account is not allowed to perform any actions.
  • If a user is attached to several accounts, one of which has the Administrative hold status, the account status is displayed in the list of user accounts in the Customer Control Panel.

Users cannot access the Customer Control Panel of an account:

  • A user attached only to this account has limited discovery access to the Customer Control Panel with the ability to order a subscription, create a new account, and become its Owner.
  • If a user is attached to several accounts, one of which is deleted, the deleted account is not displayed in the list of user accounts in the Customer Control Panel.

Actions and restrictions for moving to this status

A new account is created in the Active status.

An account can get the Active status from the following statuses: Credit hold or Administrative hold.

An account can get the Credit hold status only from the Active status.

An account can get the Administrative hold status from the following statuses: Active or Credit hold.

An account can get the Deleted status from any other status.
