Category page

The Category page is generated automatically using a public product category (see Viewing category pages list) and public products (see Viewing products list) included in it. The main content appearance is defined by the Category Page UI template (see Managing UI Templates). The currency of displayed prices depends on the Customer Store settings (see Managing Customer Store currency).

By default, the Category page includes the following elements:

  • The header — displayed on every page of Storefront (see Standard elements defined by Layout UI template).
  • The banner.
  • The main content:
    • The Products title.
    • The Catalog navigation menu — located on the left side of the page. It contains the list of all public product categories. The current category page is highlighted. In the mobile version, the navigation menu is collapsed and displayed in the header as an icon.
    • The list of products of the selected category as cards.

The following order of product cards is used for the Category page:

      • The cards of products with the smaller monthly cost of the plans are displayed at the top of the list. Trial periods are not taken into account.
      • The cards of products with the same monthly cost of the plans are displayed in reverse alphabetical order.
      • Product cards are links to the corresponding product pages. The number of cards in the section depends on the user's screen resolution and the size of the browser window. Product cards have the following elements:
        • The product logo.
        • The product marketing name.
        • The product marketing description.
        • From — the minimal product price per month in the '00.00 alphabetic currency code/month' format (for example, 10.00 USD / month) calculated as the minimal price of the available product plans (see Product page). The price is not displayed if a product has a public plan with a trial period.
        • The Buy or Try for free button. The Try for free button is available when a product has a plan with a trial period.
  • The footer — displayed on every page of Storefront (see Standard elements defined by Layout UI template).
