Viewing and updating notification category's details

The notification category changes are delegated to all downstream resellers that did not edit the corresponding inherited notification category (see Delegating UI templates, notification templates, event handlers, and notification categories).

The changes in a notification category that was delegated from the upstream reseller can be reverted (see Reverting the state of delegated notification category).

To view and update the notification category details:

  1. Go to Notification Categories (see Navigation). The list of notification categories is displayed (see Viewing the list of notification categories).
  2. Click the ID or name of the required notification category. The notification category details page is displayed. The page includes the following tabs:
    • General — information about the notification category:
      • Name — the name of the notification category.
      • Description — additional information about the notification category.
      • Public — indicates whether the notification category can be configured in the Customer Control Panel (see Notification settings).
      • Enable on account creation — indicates whether a notification category is turned on for new accounts by default.
      • Default — indicates whether the notification category is installed by default:
      • Inherited — indicates whether a notification category is delegated from the upstream reseller.
      • Customized — indicates whether the notification category is edited by a manager of the reseller (see Viewing and updating notification category's details):
        • Yes — a notification category is edited by a manager of the reseller.
        • No — in the following cases:
          • A new notification category is created by a manager of the reseller (not inherited).
          • The state of an inherited notification category equals the state of the corresponding notification category of the upstream reseller (see Reverting the state of delegated notification category).
      • Notification templates — the list of notification templates linked to the selected category (see Managing notification templates). To view the notification template details page, click the link.



    • Log — the history of the notification category changes (see Viewing an object log).
  3. If it is necessary to update the notification category details:
    1. On the General tab, make the required changes in the fields available for editing.
    2. Click Update.
