Deleting a notification template

You can delete only notification templates created by a manager. Inherited and default notification templates cannot be deleted manually.

The deletion of a notification template causes the deletion of all event handlers created using it.

When the upstream reseller deletes a notification template, the delegated notification template is also deleted for all downstream resellers if they did not edit it. Event Handlers created by a manager based on an inherited notification template are also deleted. A delegated notification template is not deleted in the following cases:

  • A notification template was edited (Customized = Yes).
  • A notification template was not edited (Customized = No), and there is at least one edited event handler (Customized = Yes) based on it.

To delete a notification template:

  1. Go to Notification Templates (see Navigation). The list of notification templates is displayed (see Viewing the list of notification templates).
  2. Click the ID or name of the required notification template. The notification template details page is displayed (see Viewing and updating notification template's details).
  3. Click Delete and confirm the action.
